Mobile Device Privacy

Like our site itself, the apps also collect information you provide, as well as information about your interaction with the app and its content.

Your mobile network service providers may collect device-specific information, such as a device identifier, when you use our website or one of our mobile applications. This information collected by your mobile network service will not be associated with your user account with us, or with your personally identifiable information.
Information We Collect
When you sign up for the Services, you provide us with information such as your name and email address. We may also collect information from your public social media accounts.
Our servers automatically record certain log file information reported from your browser when you access the Services. These server logs may include information such as which pages of the Service you visited, your internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, and other information on how you interact with the Services. These log files are generally periodically deleted.
eChildhood uses Google Analytics to help us understand use of our Services.
Financial information connected to payments may be collected or stored by a third-party payment processor and is subject to their terms and policies.
Information requested of volunteers
eChildhood policies require that all volunteers undertake a police check.
- When a volunteer sends eChildhood their 100 points of ID for a CrimCheck, these are stored electronically until we receive notification of the status of the check.
- After eChildhood receives notification of the status of the volunteer check, we record the volunteer name, CrimCheck reference number, and date of notification on file.
- Within 7 days of completing this process, eChildhood deletes the volunteer ID and CrimCheck certificate from our system. We do not retain copies of these documents.
In most Internet browsers, you can change your settings so that you will be warned each time a cookie is being sent, or so that cookies will be turned off. With cookies blocked, some functions of the Site may not operate properly.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information you submit to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service. eChildhood may use certain information about you internally for purposes such as analysing how the Service is used, diagnosing service or technical problems, maintaining security, and personalizing content.
By signing up with our site, you also consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related notices, including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail. You also agree that we may send you notifications of activity on the Service to the email address you give us, in accordance with any applicable privacy settings. We may use your email address to send you other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of the Service, or special offers. If you do not want to receive such email messages, you may opt out on the unsubscribe page. Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding updates, improvements, or offers.
Following termination or deactivation of your account, eChildhood may retain your profile information and all information posted to public areas of the Service.
Usernames, Passwords, and Profiles
If prompted, Users must provide a valid email address to the Site, at which the User can receive messages. User must also update the Site if that email address changes. The Site reserves the right to terminate any User account if a valid email is requested but is not provided by the User.
If the Site prompts or allows a User to create a username or profile, Users agree not to pick a username or provide any profile information that would impersonate someone or that is likely to cause confusion with any other person or entity. The Site reserves the right to cancel a User account or change a username or profile data at any time. Similarly, if the Site prompts or allows a User to create an avatar or upload a picture, User agrees not to use any image that impersonates some other person or entity, or that is otherwise likely to cause confusion.
You are responsible for protecting your username and password for the Site, and you agree not to disclose it to any third party. We recommend that you use a password that is more than eight characters long. You are responsible for all activity on your account, whether or not you authorized it. You agree to inform us of unauthorized use of your account, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You acknowledge that if you wish to protect your interactions on the Site, it is your responsibility to use a secure encrypted connection, virtual private network, or other appropriate measures.
We endeavour to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
We are based in Australia and you are contracting to use our Site. This Policy and all matters arising from your use of the Site are governed by and will be construed according to the laws of Australia, without regard to any choice of laws rules of any jurisdiction. The federal courts and state courts that have geographical jurisdiction over disputes arising at our office location in Australia will be the only permissible venues for any and all disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy or the Site and Service.
No Users Under the Age of 13
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for our Services. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address or social media account. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on the Services. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. It is a violation of our Terms of Service for children under the age of 13 to use the Site.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested third parties to help them understand the usage patterns for certain eChildhood services.
Choices Regarding your Personal Information
You can always opt not to disclose information to us, but keep in mind some information may be needed to register with us or to take advantage of some of our special features.
You may be able to add, update, or delete information by visiting your account settings page. When you update information, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records. You may request deletion of your account by emailing us at email@example.com
